NBAA 2015 Recap; Gulfstream Highlights CaseBank’s SpotLight® as Key Component of their CMP

| Blog

This past week, CaseBank participated in the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Conference & Exhibition in Las Vegas, Nevada. With over 1,100 exhibitors and over 100 aircraft on display, NBAA is the world’s largest and most important business aviation event. As the fourth largest trade show in the US, an estimated 26,000+ attendees, vendors and suppliers passed through the NBAA Conference over the course of the week.

CaseBank was one of fifteen Canadian companies participating in the Ontario Pavilion, which was put together by The Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Employment and Infrastructure (MEDTE)/Ministry of Research Innovation (MRI) Trade Branch and the Ontario Aerospace Council.

Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. – G650

CaseBank was pleased that our SpotLight® solution was highlighted by Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. as a key component of their Computerized Maintenance Program ( for customer care of G550, G650, and future aircraft.

Throughout the week, engine and airframe manufacturers asked about overcoming the limitations of telematics and analytics for equipment troubleshooting (sometimes called IOT and Big Data), and how CaseBank solved the problem on the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF). These OEMs were universally impressed by our ability to improve maintenance accuracy and reduce time and cost by processing telematics data with SpotLight to confirm or reject failure modes prior to service.

All the manufacturers and maintenance organizations at NBAA expressed major concerns regarding the imminent retirement and departure of highly-skilled technicians (also known as grayout). SpotLight’s ability to capture and preserve field experience (tribal knowledge) and use it to improve the performance of all technicians received overwhelming support. Some NBAA attendees even asked about using SpotLight as a training tool and for refresher courses. (The answer is yes, our customers are doing that too.)

One thing was abundantly clear as the show drew to a close, CaseBank has been recognized as having some of the most advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting technology in the business aviation industry. Many of the leading aerospace vendors have come to rely on CaseBank’s integrated troubleshooting solutions as a critical part of their customer support strategy for executive aircraft. NBAA 2015 was an exciting and successful event for CaseBank and an excellent way to wrap up our 2015 trade show calendar.
