Recently, CaseBank participated in the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Conference & Exhibition in Orlando, Florida. With over 1,100 exhibitors and over 100 aircraft on display, NBAA is the world’s largest and most important business aviation event. As the fourth largest trade show in the US, an estimated 26,000+ attendees passed through the NBAA Conference over the course of the week. As expected, there was a great deal of buzz surrounding big announcements such as Gulfstream’s all-new G500 and G600 jets (for which they had a mock up on display), and Bombardier’s mock-up of its new Challenger 650.
CaseBank was one of nine Canadian companies participating in the Ontario Pavilion, which was put together by The Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Employment and Infrastructure (MEDTE)/Ministry of Research Innovation (MRI) Trade Branch and the Ontario Aerospace Council.
A recurring theme in conversations throughout the week was the disappearance of traditional publishing models for support documentation. In fact, many OEMs explained that traditional tech pubs simply can’t respond fast enough to support emerging problems in the field. For these companies, access to comprehensive tech pubs libraries is important for regulatory compliance, and maintenance and overhaul. However for call centers and field support, which are engaged in critical troubleshooting decisions, more responsive tools are needed that contain the latest field experience.
CaseBank’s SpotLight software garnered significant interest because it is an innovative solution that compensates for the inadequacies of the page-based systems currently in use. Attendees and exhibitors alike were intrigued by SpotLight’s ability to capture all of the symptoms, causes and solutions for every failure mode, as they occur, for a given type of equipment. CaseBank’s SpotLight solution delivers pinpoint troubleshooting accuracy, eliminating guesswork and the dreaded “no-fault-found” syndrome.
For the first time, CaseBank also announced our association with the Gulfstream G550 and G650 and the Pratt & Whitney PW 800. Business aviation manufacturers place a high value on guided diagnostic solutions that result in less aircraft downtime/aircraft on ground (AOG), so it is no surprise that CaseBank enjoyed discussions with Gulfstream, Pratt & Whitney Canada and Bombardier regarding emerging programs and the role of advanced guided diagnostics to ensure excellence in service.
One thing was abundantly clear as the show drew to a close; numerous aerospace companies recognize CaseBank as a leading vendor in the business aviation industry. This reinforced that our integrated troubleshooting solutions will continue to be an important part of the service and support of executive aircraft. NBAA 2014 was an exciting and successful event for CaseBank and an excellent way to wrap up our 2014 trade show calendar.
