Policy on Privacy of Customer Personal Information

Upon registering for a SpotLight access account, CaseBank will collect your personal name, email address, telephone, work location, and the name of your company (employer). This policy explains the types of personal information we collect, how it is used, and the steps we take to ensure your personal information is handled appropriately.

CaseBank Technologies Inc. is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information obtained by reason of your customer relationship with CaseBank Technologies Inc.

Our commitment to your privacy is governed by the following privacy principles:

Intended uses: SpotLight may record some or all of your personal information in the course of capturing event detail information for those SpotLight sessions that you participate in. It will be used to enable subsequent communication with you related to your SpotLight access account, and related to equipment troubleshooting and technical follow-up among parties having access to SpotLight. Your personal contact information will be visible to persons authorized to see those SpotLight sessions. Your personal information will be not be displayed as part of a SpotLight Solution which is visible to the body of SpotLight users. (A Solution is the generic description of a failure mode that resides in a SpotLight knowledgebase.) This information will be used to contact you occasionally, and only with respect to SpotLight.

Retention: Your personal information that has been copied into a SpotLight Session will be recorded permanently as part of that SpotLight Session when it is stored. If that Session is subsequently deleted, your personal information will be deleted along with it. Your personal information that was provided in the course of registration for a personal SpotLight account will be retained as long as your account is active. In the event your SpotLight account is de-activated, your registration information will be retained as long as there is a reasonable probability that access to your SpotLight account will be re-activated in the future. Otherwise your personal information in the registration account will be deleted.

We limit collection of your personal information

SpotLight collects only the information required to provide products and services to you. If the personal information we require is collected for a reason other than to provide products and services, your consent will be obtained before or at the time the information is collected. CaseBank will collect personal information only by clear, fair and lawful means.

Our use of cookies and web beacons

Cookies are small files that websites save to your hard disk or to your browser's memory. We may use session cookies (cookies that are deleted when your browser session ends) to store your user ID, to facilitate your movement around our websites (particularly in connection with information searches and other information useful in administering the session. You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most Internet browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser settings to decline cookies or to notify you when a cookie is being placed on your computer. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the features of CaseBank's websites or other websites that you visit.

Disclosure of your personal information

Except as described above, personal information you provide to CaseBank through our websites will not be shared outside of CaseBank and its controlled subsidiaries and affiliates without your permission.

Disclosure for other reasons. We may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal requirements or with legal process served on us, to protect and defend our rights or property, or in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of any individual.
